Cool Lending Club Photo Contest win $1000

Lending Club is changing the face of bank lending, now we’re also changing our web site background images. To celebrate our new web site, we’re hosting the first ever Lending Club Photo Contest.  We invite all professional and amateur photographers (as well as anybody who knows a good picture when they see one) to submit one or multiple entries (maximum of 4) for a chance to win $1,000.

Have a picture to win it all?
Send us a picture to be used on Lending Club’s web site any time before midnight (Pacific Time) on April 30, 2010.   On May 3rd, the Lending Club team will announce the 10 finalist photographs and will post them on our Facebook fan page for a public vote.  The photographs with the most votes by May 31, 2010 wins the contest.

Submit breathtaking photographs that somehow (this is where your artistic awesomeness comes in) showcases Lending Club values:

  • trustworthy,
  • transparent,
  • professional yet friendly and accessible.

Prizes:

  • One  grand prize winner will receive$1,000 by American Express gift card
  • One second place winner will receive $500 by American Express gift card
  • One third place winner will receive $300 by American Express gift card
  • Up to three honorary mentions: $100/each by American Express gift card

Simply leave a comment on this blog post with your email, name, and link to the image.  You may also leave a short explanation of why you think the submitted picture is right for Lending Club’s site.

During the time of the contest (from Monday, March 22nd and April 30th), we will randomly pick a tweet that mentions the photo contest (containing a link to our post and the hashtag #LCphoto) to win a Lending Club t-shirt or messenger bag.

  • Picture must be available online (such as photo sharing sites or stock photo libraries)
  • Picture must have one (1) focal point, as well as no more than three (3) dominating colors.
  • Picture quality must be at least 2000×2000 pixels
  • Picture must be in PNG, GIF or JPG format
  • Blurry, damaged, out of focus or inappropriate images, as determined in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, will be ineligible
  • A maximum of four (4) entries are allowed per person.

ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: A trip for two (2) to Italy.
Trip package includes:
  1. Round trip, coach-class air transportation for two (2) from a major airport near winner’s home (determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to Florence, Italy;
  2. 7 days and 6 nights’ accommodations at a hotel determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion (single room, double occupancy); $1,000 spending money for the winner only.
  3. Scheduled guided tours including: Tuscany Countryside Tour by private car, Food and Wine tasting in Chiati region; Mercedes sedan with English speaking driver, English speaking tour guide at the winery; tolls, vat, taxes, gratuities.

Excellent Video for those that travel with an I-Phone.  Recently, on a trip to Switzerland I used my I-Phone quite a bit, not realizing how expensive it was to just even have powered on.  If you retrieve e-mail, or hook into the standard mapping app, it will suck down bandwidth like no tomorrow.  Returning home, I was greeted to a $400 AT&T month end bill.

TIP: If you forget and travel abroad, you can ask for the charges to be redone based on having a retro-active plan added to your account.  This might cost you 1/4 of what the total expense would have been.
